The Evolution of Mixed Use

Caringbah Pavilion reimagines mixed-use living as a human-centred vertical village, bringing everyday essentials, wellness and social connection together to reduce car dependence and give people back time.

The "Supermarket-Underneath" model is changing the face of Sydney.

For decades, mixed-use development meant a retail shop on the ground and apartments above.

With our Caringbah Pavilion, we are exploring a shift toward "Human-Centred Precincts." It’s about creating a "vertical village" where wellness, social connection, and daily essentials coexist.

Traditional suburban sprawl creates isolation and reliance on cars for every single chore, so by drawing on our in-house designers at Conquest we’ve designed a precinct where the "commute" to the gym, the supermarket, or a local café is just an elevator ride away.

When you reduce the friction of daily tasks, you give people back their most valuable asset: time.
